Government this week has announced tougher measures to crackdown on fly-tipping, litter, and graffiti increasing the maximum fines by hundreds of pounds.
👉 The maximum amount those caught fly-tipping could be fined will increase from £400 to £1,000
👉 The maximum amount those who litter or graffiti could be fined will increase from £150 to £500
👉 The maximum amount those who breach their household waste duty of care could be fined will increase from £400 to £600
The Council and other agencies really must get to grips with tackling some of this waste by using the powers that this Conservative Government has continued to give them to tackle these sorts of problems. There really is no excuse not to take tough action against those who think they can dump their rubbish anywhere causing unsightly and environmental damage, leaving someone else to clear it up.
