Recently, I was pleased to learn that Rochester Post Office located on the High Street will be transformed into one of Post Office Ltd.’s new main style branches.
This change is part of the major modernisation taking place across the Post Office network under a government investment programme that will eventually benefit 11,000 branches nationwide. The overall aim is to create a more modern and convenient retail experience for customers that will include longer opening hours.
For Rochester residents, the transformation of the High Street branch will mean a modern, open plan refurbishment complete with longer opening hours and the provision of the same products and services. The branch will re-launch on Thursday 23 June at 13:00 following a brief closure from Tuesday 7 June.
I for one look forward to the new and improved services that will be on offer from next month, which I hope will also provide noticeable benefits to constituents who have long relied on our Post Office’s service and capability.
