Rochester and Strood MP Kelly Tolhurst held her second Medway Apprenticeship Fair last Friday 22nd March 2019.
The fair, which was sponsored by A C Goatham’s & Son, was attended by 32 different businesses from a wide range of sectors and industries. This included the likes of Medway Council, Royal Mail, Lloyd’s, Tesco, Kreston Reeves, and Google.
Students from over 10 schools attended the fair and it is estimated that more than 250 young people came along to see the many opportunities on offer.
Commenting, Kelly Tolhurst MP said:
“My Apprenticeship Fair has been a chance to show our young people that there are alternatives to university, and to explore the benefits of earning whilst you're still learning.
“I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone that attended, our venue and my old school, Strood Academy, for accommodating the fair and also to our sponsors, A C Goatham’s.
“It was a great day and I hope that Medway students found it useful.”
