Today is #smallbusinesssaturdayuk celebrating all the wonderful small businesses who operate across our constituency. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities, so it is good that the Chancellor in his Autumn Statement extended the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality business rate relief and also froze business rates for small businesses. Today I went to speak to just a few of those businesses, Chesters Hair Salon based on Strood High Street, they have been operating there for many years, Sue and Jason do so much more than cut hair for the community. People Who Foster fostering agency in Strood, a small family run agency working hard to support vulnerable children in Medway but also further afield. In Cuxton, I went to see The Cuxton Bakehouse fabulous bakers who have gone from strength to strength with amazing bread and cakes - please do all you can to support our small businesses across our villages and towns this weekend #SmallBizSat
